The Austin Planning Commission approved a 2,200-square foot expansion at the Bellisio Foods Inc. plant in Austin.

Bellisio looks to add a new refridgeration storage unit as well as open another production line for its pie products.

The Austin Port Authority gave the company its approval to move forward last week, as the port authority owns the building inwhichBellisio operates. Though it’s unclearwhen the expansion would take place, a company plant manager told the port authority the expansion would likely add about 20 jobs at Bellisio.

Bellisio took over APC’s lease of the building when it bought the company in June for $6.1 million.
