The Austin Greyhounds took advantage of a minor miscue to put on a big surge and beat the Austin Blue Sox 15-9 in a seven-inning exhibition amateur baseball game in Marcusen Park Friday.

The Blue Sox led 8-6 with one out at the top of the seventh when they committed an error on what could’ve been a game-ending double play.

Instead, the Hounds rattled off nine runs in the frame as Andy Swank, who homered in the first, doubled in two runs, and Nels Nelson, who homered in the second, doubled in a run.
