Mr. and Mrs. Charles Enger of Austin are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. Charles William Enger and Trudy Ann Dunlap were the first couple to be married at the First Methodist Church in Austin, Minn., on Sept. 7, 1963.

Together they raised one son, Todd (Julie) of Lyle, Minn., and two daughters, Kathryn (David) of Rochester, Minn., and Kristin (Bradley) of Austin. Charles and Trudy also have five grandchildren: Jessica, Lauren, Anna, Nicholas and Jeffrey.

The couple enjoys traveling to northern Minnesota for vacation and spending time with family and friends. Charles enjoys being a member of the Model A Car Club, as well as flying his airplane. Trudy enjoys volunteering at the Mower County Humane Society.

The couple will celebrate their special day with family.
