Against the Mets, the Blue Sox (14-14 overall) took a 1-0 lead on an error in the third, but left the bases loaded. Then the Mets took over as Mitch Sellers drilled a two-run homer to make it 3-1. Mankato scored three in the fifth and seven in the sixth to win the game.

Austin beat the Royals to start the day behind a two-hit, complete game win by Cody Meyer, who struck out seven.

Blue Sox manager Jamey Pratt said it was a quality season.

“The team played pretty well and a lot of guys stepped up,” Pratt said. “We had good commitment and a few guys who hadn’t played a lot showed that they can play.”
