Three teenage girls face multiple charges after police found them fighting in northwest Austin at about 4 a.m. Friday.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said two 16-year-old girls and a 17-year-old girl were arrested for minor consumption of alcohol, disorderly conduct, obstructing the legal process and violating curfew. In addition, the 17-year-old was charged with fourth-degree assault and criminal destruction of property after she kicked out a light inside a police car.

Neighbors living near Fourth Avenue and Fifth Street Northwest called police Friday morning after the girls got into a verbal fight, Krueger said. Police found the three fighting once they arrived at the scene.
