This year’s Riverland Community College scholarship fundraiser, Knight Under the Stars, will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Frank W. Bridges Theatre.

The $50 cost includes admission to a preview performance of Summerset Theatre’s “Monty Python’s Spamalot” and a post-performance reception. The fee is tax-deductible.

Hormel has donated various spam products to be served at the reception, along with beverages and wines. Attendees will also have a chance to win free gift baskets and other giveaways.

Proceeds from the event will help to sponsor the Theatre Talent Grants and the Music Talent Grants, ranging from $250 to $500. According to Riverland and Summerset Executive Director Lindsey Williams, the fundraiser is the main source of funding for the scholarships. Additional donations to Riverland theatre scholarships will be accepted at the event.
