The Blue Sox (4-6 overall, 0-2 Southern Minny) were out-hit 14-4 and they committed four errors in the loss.

“We came out pretty flat,” Blue Sox manager Jamey Pratt said. “Maybe with the fourth of July holiday coming up we weren’t all of the way into the game. When you’re not hitting the ball and you’re making errors, you won’t win too many games.”

The Royals led 4-0 after four and they pushed that lead to 8-0 with a four-run rally in the fifth.
