Second guilty in March drug raidPublished 9:49am Tuesday, June 4, 2013
The second suspect in a March 29 drug raid in Austin has pleaded guilty.
Adelfa Coroado Buentello, 52, of Austin, pleaded guilty Monday in Mower County court to felony fifth-degree drug possession.
Ramiro Buentello Jr., 57, of Austin, was sentenced to 114 months in prison in the same case last week for first-degree drug possession of more than 25 grams of methamphetamines. He received credit for 55 days in jail.
Police raided the home at the 1600 block of Oakland Avenue East at about 7 a.m. March 29. Police breached the door when nobody answered but later spoke to Ramiro, who showed them 0.66 grams of meth folded in cash inside a pants pocket, according to the court complaint. The complaint stated officers then found three stashes of meth totaling 41.8 grams hidden in the soil of potted plants.
