David “Wootsie” Osmundson, 80, of Austin, Minn., died on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.

David Myron was born on April 23, 1933, in Adams, Minn., to Herbie and Margie (Christenson) Osmundson. He graduated from Adams High School with the class of 1951. David served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He married Arthamese “Ardy” Titus on Jan. 2, 1965, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

He was a co-owner of Osmundson Brothers Construction and Implement in Adams, Minn. David was an avid golfer, who in retirement said the golf course was his “office,” and he enjoyed bowling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Harold, Lloyd and Jerry; and nephew Jason.

David is survived by his wife, Ardy Osmundson, Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin Osmundson, Austin, Dana and Brian Hegge, Austin, Kristi and Eric Keath, Faribault, Minn.; grandchildren, Hailey Osmundson, Courtney, Mitchel and Carlie Hegge, Erika and Cullen Keath; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donis and Bernard Hukee, Louisville, Ky., Diane and Robert Smith, Adams, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Cleo Ann Osmundson, Adams, Donna Osmundson, Adams; aunt, Lois Osmundson, Adams; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 at First Congregational Church with the Rev. Shari Mason officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery with Adams Post No. 146 American Legion in charge of military rites. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary and at the church on Saturday for one hour before the service.
