Chamber reports local scam

Published 5:37pm Saturday, June 8, 2013

The Austin Chamber of Commerce received information about a group fraudulently collecting money and claiming it will donate to victims of the Oklahoma tornado.

The group claims to be working on behalf of the Austin Jaycees and says it will deliver the supplies this Sunday.

According to the Jaycees, that group is not associated with their organization, and the public is advised not to give anything to those individuals.
