The county board voted 5-0 to approve a conditional use permit for Darrel and Eleanore Gordon to run a small gravel mining operation on their land off Highway 56 east of Adams.

They will be able to mine for gravel on about 20 acres and also crush concrete.

The board approved the permit with 24 conditions.
