MANKATO – The Austin-Albert Lea Legion baseball team lost a 3-2 heartbreaker in nine innings to Mankato American and fell 5-0 to Apple Valley at the Mankato Tournament Friday.

Marcus Stoulil allowed just three hits for AAL (2-5 overall) in the loss to Mankato, which had a runner start on second base in the ninth due to International rules.

“Other than the fact we didn’t win, it was a heck of a game,” AAL co-head coach Bob Stratton said.
