Area golfers start strong at state, BP’s Noble is in 8th place

BECKER — Five area golfers all finished near the top half of their fields on the first day of the Class ‘A’ boys and girls state golf meet in Pebble Creek Golf Course Tuesday.

In the girls field, Blooming Prairie’s Anna Noble shot an 87 to put her in eighth place, Hayfield junior Samantha Dahlen shot a 105 to put her 52nd place and Grand Meadow–LeRoy-Ostrander’s Kaitlin Kling shot shot a 97 to put her in 29th place.

In the boys field, Hayfield senior Trevor Anderson is in 38th place with a score of 85 and sophomore Brady Becker is in 44th place with a score of 86.
