Shelbi Swenson, pitcher, Blooming Prairie

The senior led the Awesome Blossoms (23-3 overall) to a Class ‘A’ state title this season as she maintained a 0.48 ERA in 170 innings, while striking out 283 and allowing 68 hits and 33 walks. Swenson pitched every inning for BP this season. She hit .465 with an on-base percentage of .515 as she tallied 6 doubles, 5 triples, 1 home run and 33 RBIs.

The junior hit an area’s best .603 with an on-base percentage of .700 with 6 doubles, 5 triples, 5 homers and 25 RBIs. She was 30-for-30 stolen bases for the Vikings (14-8 overall) and scored 51 runs.

Grace Mindrup, first base, Hayfield

The freshman hit .447 with an on-base percentage of .522, with a 11 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs and an area’s best 38 RBIs.

Jenna Krell, second base, Blooming Prairie

The senior, who played shortstop for BP, hit .365 with an on-base percentage of .446, 4 triples, 1 home run, 34 runs, 11 stolen bases and 21 RBIs.

Jessie Foster, shortstop, Hayfield

The junior hit .418 with an on-base percentage of .446 with 1 homer, 2 double and 20 RBIs. Foster scored 33 runs and was 19-for-19 on steals.

Sydney Heiber, third base, Blooming Prairie

The junior hit .342 with an on-base percentage of .429 and she added 13 stolen bases 1 double, 2 triples, 2 home runs and 22 RBIs.

 Tessa Ivers, outfield, Blooming Prairie

The sophomore hit .371 with an on-base percentage of .472 to go with 18 stolen bases 1 double, 1 triple 1 home run, 18 RBIs and 34 runs.

Bria Baldwin, outfield, Blooming Prairie

The eighth grader made strong debut as she hit .410 with an on-base percentage of .478, to go with 5 doubles, 1 triple and 21 RBIs.

Haley Kiefer, outfield, Southland

The junior hit .375 with an on-base percentage of .549 for the Rebels (3-16 overall). Kiefer had 4 doubles, 2 triples, 9 RBIs and 12 runs.

HONORABLE MENTION

Sydney Murphy, catcher, Austin

The sophomore hit .397 with an on-base percentage of .465 and she knocked in 4 runs and scored 12 runs. Murphy caught 17 runners stealing and had a fielding percentage of .966.

Sam Ivers, catcher, Blooming Prairie

The senior, who made the switch from outfielder to catcher this season, hit .303 with an on-base percentage of .484, six doubles, 1 triple and 19 RBIs.

Megan Mullenbach, shortstop, Southland

The senior hit .426 with a .544 on-base percentage. She had 3 doubles, 1 triple, 23 RBIs, 27 stolen bases, and 18 runs.

Shayley Vesel, shortstop, Austin

The freshman had an on-base percentage of .338 with 14 runs and 7 RBIs for the Packers (8-11 overall).

Abbey Ball, pitcher, Austin

The junior hit .344 and had an on-base percentage of .394 with 1 homer, 7 doubles and 14 RBIs. Ball had an ERA of 3.47 while striking out 84 and walking 42.

Bhrett Zahnle, second baseman, Hayfield

The sophomore hit .354 with 5 doubles, 1 triple and 25 RBIs.
