The Hayfield softball team advanced to the Section 1A tournament by beating Kenyon-Wanamingo 7-6 on a late hit by Bhrett Zahnle Todd Park Saturday.

The Knights posted a run in the top of the seventh, but Hayfield bounced back when Zahnle blooped a one out single over the shorts stop to score the winning run.

The game was delayed for rain after six innings Friday.

Hayfield (13-8 overall) will take on Houston (13-4 overall) Tuedsay at Todd Park at 5 p.m. in an elimination game.
