LAKEVILLE — The Austin boys tennis team wrapped up its season at the Section 1AA individual tournament in Lakeville Thursday.

The doubles team of Pat Wagner and Colton Detwiler picked up Austin’s lone win over a team from Northfield by scores of 7-5, 6-4, but they lost to No. 1 seeded Cash Rodamaker and Mitch Johnson of Lakeville South 6-2, 6-0.

Three seniors played their last tennis matches for Austin as the duo of Ethan Larson and Nick Brehmer lost 6-0, 6-2 to a team from Rochester Century.

“Pat has been on the team for five years,” Austin head coach Troy Diekman said. “We’re going to miss his leadership and opening pep talks at the beginning of our matches. Ethan and Nick have played doubles together since they were freshman. They are going to be missed as well.”

Austin’s Jeremy Olmsted lost 6-1, 6-0 and Owen Nelson lost 6-1, 6-1.
