Packer boys top AL in track dual, Austin girls fall short

ALBERT LEA — The Austin boys won 76-61 and the Packer girls lost 83-54 to Albert Lea in a track and field dual in Albert Lea Thursday.

Omot Okello took first in the 110-meter hurdles for Austin, Micah Kelly won the 1600-meter run, Conner Sheehan won the 400-meter dash, Mason Wollersheim won the 800-meter run, Andrew Baker won the 3200-meter run, Jake Hagen-Erickson won the long jump and the triple jump and Andrew Hagan won the discus and shot put.

Carolyn Hackel took first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes for Austin, Rachel Quandt won the 100-meter hurdles, seventh grader Paiton Schwab won the 3200-meter run, Lindsey McAlister won the discus and Merideth Fritz won the triple jump.
