On April 26, the IBI Data Relay for Life team and the Holiday Inn Austin co-sponsored the fourth annual Black & White Ball.

This event raised mroe than $11,000 for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society! We would like to thank the more than 150 Mower County businesses, artists and individuals who donated items for the silent auction, live auction and door prizes. Special thanks to Mr. Mariska and the musicians from the Austin High School jazz band; they were incredible and helped set the tone for a wonderful evening. Our disc jockey, Backstage Pass, auctioneer Judy Laskewitz and emcee Alexander Bloedel kept the night lively; and, of course, the event itself would not have succeeded without the great people who attended; there was a record 200 participants this year. Their generosity was amazing and helped us beat last year’s total by more than $2,000.
