The Austin Jaycees are giving back to Oklahoma residents devastated by a tornado, and they want Austin’s help.
From noon to 3 p.m. this Sunday in the Mill Pond parking lot, the Jaycees will hold a drive to collect items to send to those in Moore, Okla., affected by the May 20 EF5 tornado.
The Jaycees are looking for paper towels, toilet paper, diapers, diaper wipes, hand sanitizer and pet food. The group will also take cash donations, with half of the money going to transporting the donations, and the other half going toward the Moore Jaycees for their work with the victims.
The Austin Jaycees also raised more than $367 with the Trash to Treasures group at the Austin Pizza Ranch.
