Carol Ann Brady, 81, of Austin, Minn., died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Cottagewood in Rochester, Minn.

Carol was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Austin to Norman and Loretta (Miller) Kjome. She married Jacob Brady on June 30, 1951, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin. Carol was employed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in the kitchen and also Austin Public Schools as a title one aide.

Survivors include six sons, Michael (Pam), Rochester, Patrick (Cheryl), Fairbanks, Alaska, Tim (Michelle), Austin, Dan (Cindy), Austin, Terry (Shelli), Stewartville, Minn., Brian (Beth), Rochester; two daughters, Linda (Ed) Smith, Ottertail, Minn., Peggy (Curt) Klingfus, Austin; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Karen (Al) Liffengren, Door County, Wis.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jake; grandson, Tyler Brady; parents, Norman and Loretta Kjome; brother, Norman Kjome.

Mom’s greatest love and joy were her husband, children and grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Jim Steffes officiating. There will be a 4 p.m. CCW rosary and a 6:30 p.m. wake service on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Lewy Body Dementia Research at Mayo Clinic, Department of Development, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905.
