Austin boys golfers take second in home meet

The Austin boys golf team finished second in its final home triangular of the season at Austin Country Club Tuesday.

The Packers tallied a score of 336, while Mayo shot a 343 and Winona had a 311.

Alex Thorson led the Packers with a 77 and James Snee shot an 84.

“It was good to come away with a win,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said. “The season has been tough on us.”

Austin will compete in the Big Nine meet at Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester Wednesday.
