Root River Watershed residents invited to discussion

Published 4:42 pm Tuesday, April 30, 2013

The Root River watershed neighbors will engage in citizen-led conversations next week in the last of several discussions about about the water resources.

The 6 p.m. meeting will be Wednesday, May 8 at the Grand Meadow City Hall meeting room, 112 Grand Ave. E.

Participants will be asked for their insights about how to live and work together in the watershed while protecting water quality now and for future generations. The event includes a free meal catered by The Diner in Grand Meadow. Interactive activities will allow everyone to participate in providing information for a Root River watershed plan. The events are funded by a grant from Meadowlark Institute, which receives funding from In Commons with support from the Bush Foundation. Other support for Root River watershed citizen engagement comes from Minnesota’s Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
