Motorcyclist injured after colliding with car in Austin

A motorcyclist was injured in Austin over the weekend when he collided with a car.

According to the Austin Police Department’s report, the 53-year-old man was westbound on Fourth Avenue Northwest when he collided with a vehicle that crossed the intersection at Second Street at about 2:20 p.m. Saturday. EMTs took the rider to the hospital in Austin. The report did not list the extent of his injuries.

A witness said he crossed the intersection before the motorcycle collided with the vehicle driven by an 86-year-old woman. According to the report, the witness heard squealing tires, looked back and saw the motorcycle had hit the car.
