Lillian L. Andersen, 98, of Lake Mills, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at the Lake Mills Care Center in Lake Mills.

A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Round Prairie Church in rural Glenville with the Rev. Kent A. Otterman officiating.

Visitation will be at Round Prairie Church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Her body will be cremated after the funeral service and inurnment will take place at Round Prairie Cemetery with a private family service at a later date.

Lillian Luella (Leonhardi) Andersen was born on Dec. 2, 1914, to Louis and Ella (Freemott) Leonhardi in Nunda Township, Freeborn County. She attended Emmons High School and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1932.

She married Marion Andersen on Oct. 19, 1932. To this union seven children were born.

Lillian was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a lifelong member of Round Prairie Lutheran Church where she served as Sunday school superintendent and teacher for many years. She was also active in Ladies Aid, circle and choir. Her faith and her church were very important to her.

In 1975, she and Marion divorced and she moved to Lake Mills, where she worked part time at Three Oaks Greenhouse. She also loved to travel (she visited every state in the union and many foreign countries) and especially enjoyed spending winters with her daughter and family in Arizona.

Survivors include her children, Merlyn (Karen) Andersen of Twin Lakes, Frances Peterson of Lake Mills, Lorraine (Paul) Nagel of Glenville, Gordon (Cruz) Andersen of Reno, Nev., Roland Andersen of Ely and Joanne (Richard) Holt of Peoria, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Dora Oney and Lucille Greeney Anderson both of Waseca and Nylene Sherman of Cambridge, M.d.; sister-in-law, Mary Landaas of Albert Lea; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lila, in infancy; daughter-in-law, Judy Andersen; son-in-law, Roger Peterson; two grandsons, Dana Andersen and Bob Peterson; sister, Edna Olson; numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law; and a nephew, Tom Greeney.
