Organizers are now looking for sponsors and volunteers to help with Project Graduation, the all-night lock-in party that will follow the June 7 graduation ceremony.
“It just takes a lot of planning and volunteering from the community,” said Tami Coffey, one of the event’s organizers.
Project Graduation, an Austin tradition since the late 1980s, provides a safe, drug-free evening of games, entertainment, prizes and refreshments at Austin High School. The party is for all Austin-area graduates. This year’s theme is “Living the Dream 2013.”
Volunteers and sponsors contribute time and money to make Project Graduation possible. Those interested may contact Jana Heimark at 507-437-3315.
