Dr. Ted Hinchcliffe, a section leader at The Hormel Institute, will give educational and entertaining presentations throughout the day Monday to seventh-grade students at Ellis Middle School.

Hinchcliffe, who heads the cellular dynamics section, will give presentations in the school’s auditorium about his cancer research and the fun of science. Monday’s visit will be The Hormel Institute’s fourth-straight year of providing scientists to spend the day at Ellis speaking to and interacting with students.

“Helping students consider the importance of science education and the field of research is critical for science and our society,” said Dr. Zigang Dong, executive director of The Institute. “We are grateful for our collaborative partnership with Ellis Middle School that allows us to share information with students and hopefully ignite in them an interest in scientific research and medical research.”
