GMLOS girls win Cashton track and field invite

LA CROSSE, WIS. – The Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander-Southland girls track and field team won the 14-team Cashton indoor Invite and the GMLOS boys finished seventh at Mitchell Hall at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Saturday.

Sophomore McKenzie Kirtz won the 800-meter and 1600-meter run for GMLOS, the 4x 200-meter relay team of Danielle Hanson, Sydney Bendtsen, Addison Tapp and Elizabeth May took first and the 4 x 400-meter relay team of Kirtz, Bendtsen, Tapp and May took first.


4 x 200-meter relay: Danielle Hanson, Sydney Bendtsen, Addison Tapp, Elizabeth May (first, 1:55.8); 1600-meter run: McKenzie Kirtz (first, 5:52.10); Stephanie Sukalski (fifth, 6:56.19); 400-meter run: Elizabeth May (second, 1:05.37); Corbyn Bendtsen (ninth, 1:11.64); 4 x 400-meter relay: McKenzie Kirtz, Sydney Bendtsen, Addison Tapp, Elizabeth May (first, 4:29.62); 55-meter hurdles: Danielle Hanson (fifth, 10.11); Corbyn Bendtsen (seventh, 10.85); 55-meter dash: Sydney Bendtsen (third, 7.89); Kaitlyn Kirtz (sixth, 8.02); 800-meter run: McKenzie Kirtz (first, 2:40.28); Samantha Siskow (fourth, 2:48.01); High jump: Addison Tapp (fifth, 4-8); Long jump: Sydney Bendtsen (second, 14-11); Triple jump: Elizabeth May (sixth, 30-9.50); Shot put: Morgan Schmitz (fifth, 32-5)


1600-meter run: Jacob Souhrada (10th, 5:26.42); 400-meter run: Maxwell Tapp (third, 56.79); 55-meter dash: Coty Kirtz (sixth, 7.07); 800-meter run: Anouar Hilali (11th, 2:25.68); 200-meter dash: Coty Kirtz (seventh, 25.92); High jump: Mike Ojulu (fifth, 5-6); Long jump: Coty Kirtz (second, 19-2); Triple jump: Mike Ojulu (sixth, 35-7)
