Bruins clinch Central Division title

ONALASKA, WIS. – The Austin Bruins wrapped up their first division title in franchise history when they beat Coulee Region (15-31-5 overall) 5-3 on the road Friday.

The win puts Austin 18 points ahead of second place Bismarck with seven games remaining on the schedule. The Central Division title gives Austin home ice advantage throughout the NAHL Central Division playoffs, which begin in April.

Jay Dickman, AJ Reid and John Simonson all scored in the second period for the Bruins.

Jason Pawloski had 35 saves in the win for Austin (38-9-6 overall).
