An Austin man was injured Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of interstates 35 and 90 in Freeborn County.

Juan Navarro, 48, was taking the southbound Interstate 35 off-ramp toward westbound Interstate 90 at about 6:40 p.m. when he lost control of his 2005 Buick Rainier because of icy conditions and hit the guard rail, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. He was taken to the Austin hospital for minor injuries.

A passenger in his SUV, Judith Reinalda, 62, of Rochester, was uninjured. Both Reinalda and Navarro were wearing their seatbelts.
