Two local restaurants reported burglaries within an hour of each other Thursday morning.

Police responded to a burglary report at 6:36 a.m. at Arby’s on 18th Avenue. According to the report, someone had severely damaged the back door and broke into a safe inside the building. An undisclosed amount of money is missing.

At 7:30 a.m., KFC, which is just west of Arby’s, reported a break-in. According to that report, someone broke into the building and tampered with the safe but was unable to open it.

Police also responded to a string of home burglaries Wednesday morning, where three break-ins were reported between 7:40 and 9:30 a.m. Police have no suspects, and didn’t know if they were related to the ones on Thursday.
