Update: Drug search turns up little

An Austin drug raid last Friday was less eventful than officers suspected, as the search turned up little, according to the police report.

The Southeastern Minnesota Narcotics and Gang Task Force entered the home in the 700 block of First Avenue Southwest at 7:30 a.m. Friday. A woman answered the door, and officers found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, for which the homeowners may be charged. Nobody became violent during the search, added Police Capt. Dave McKichan.

The report has been forwarded to the city attorney’s office.
