Three men were arrested in Austin Wednesday night after a serious fight left four teenagers injured, one of which was airlifted to the hospital in Rochester.

Austin police received a call about a large fight in the 1200 block of Oakland Place Southeast after 7 p.m. Police later arrested three men, 19, 22 and 26, in a black Lincoln car in the 800 block of 14th Street Northeast. Police say the suspects used pipes and a baseball bat to assault the four teens, ages 15 to 17, and sent one to the hospital with head trauma.

The three suspects may be charged with first- and second-degree assault, according to the police report. The investigation is ongoing, and the condition of the other victims is not listed in the report.

Police Chief Brian Krueger could not say if there will be more arrests but believes the three main suspects are in custody. A report has been forwarded to the Mower County Attorney’s Office for appropriate charges.

What a fantastic city Austin has become. Diversity is “great” until people start getting hurt or killed. That’s what this entire country will be like within the next 30 years or so. Gangs roaming all the streets and no decent jobs left for anyone. I’m glad I’ll be getting pretty old by then, but I feel sorry for the youth of today who will have to live through it every day of their lives. Third World America is getting closer every day. How sad.

Strange, but my last comment seems to have somehow disappeared. I guess the truth is too controversial to be published, as it might get people to thinking about what’s really going on in this town. I read somewhere recently that Austin now has something like the third highest crime rate in Minnesota. Thanks Hormel/QPP!
