Southland girls get past Triton

The No. 2 seeded Southland girls basketball team took care of No. 7 Triton (4-22 overall) 83-57 in the first round of the Section 2AA South Division tournament in Adams Tuesday.

Jana Schammel led the Rebels (24-3 overall) with 25 points.

Southland will now play No. 3 Hayfield (18-8 overall) in Mankato East High School Friday at 8 p.m.
