Rebel boys top Caledonia

CALEDONIA — The Southland boys basketball team played a strong second half when it beat Caldedonia (14-8 overall, 10-6 Three Rivers) 66-49 on the road Tuesday.

The Rebels (16-6 overall, 13-4 Three Rivers) trailed by three at the break and they outcored the Warriors 35-15 in the second frame.

“We made a slight adjustment to our zone at halftime and all of the sudden we hold them to fifteen,” Southland head coach Jon Thalberg said.

Nick Schmitz had 17 points for Southland.
