He was born in Stacyville, Iowa, on Oct. 14, 1933. He graduated from Visitation High School, then served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. After his discharge from the military, he returned to Theobald Implement, the family business started by his father Carl. He and his brother Kenneth bought the business from Carl, and Glen continued there until his semi-retirement in 1986.

His love of the outdoors brought him to Lake City where he spent his days fishing, walking, bike riding or taking his family and companion Margaret Selleseth out in his pontoon on Lake Peppin.

He is survived by his long-time companion Margaret Selleseth of Lake City; brother Roger Theobald (Darla) of Omaha; three children, Deborah (Tom) of Estes Park, Colo., Dennis (Sue) of Ventura, Iowa, and Douglas (Tami) of Mount Vernon, Iowa; and his four grandchildren Joshua, Chase, Rheanna and Nicole.

Glen will be laid to rest next to his parents, sister Helen and brother Roy in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Stacyville. At his request, a private ceremony for immediate family will be held at a later date.
