Dennis Burton Seberson, 86, of Austin, Minn., died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.

Dennis was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Portland, N.D. Following time in the navy, Dennis went to work at Hormel, where he met Donna Newman. They married on Aug. 15, 1959, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. In addition to 40 years of employment at Hormel, Dennis worked hard as a landlord and spent many hours buying and selling at auctions and yard sales. Dennis was devoted to his granddaughters and was exceptionally generous and kind to family, friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his sons, Lon Newman, Wausau, Wis., and Kelly Seberson, Oakland, Minn.; and by his granddaughters, Rachel Newman, Denver, Colo., and Taylor and Grace Seberson, Oakland, Minn. He was preceded in death by two infant children, his wife, and brothers John and Keith.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at the Crane Community Chapel, with the Rev. Dale Christiansen officiating. Military honors will be by Austin Post No. 91, American Legion. Visitation will be on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Crane Community Chapel. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
