Bruins score five first period goals in win over Bismarck

The Austin Bruins opened with a scoring frenzy as they cruised past Bismarck (27-15-6 overall) 8-3 in Riverside Arena Saturday.
The Bruins (36-8-6 overall) scored two goals in the first 35 seconds of the game and they led 5-0 after the first period.
CJ Smith had one goal and four assists for the Bruins and Chris Fischer had two goals and one assist.
Nick Lehr had six saves for Austin and Jason Pawloski had 11 saves.
