Blue Devil women top Ridgewater

The Riverland Community College women’s basketball team kept its postseason hopes alive when it beat Ridgewater (13-9 overall, 3-6 MCAC South) 69-62 in Riverland Gym Wednesday.

The Blue Devils (14-10 overall, 3-6 MCAC South) led by as many as 17, but Rebekah Aase, who had 19 points and 17 rebounds and Sophia Hebrink both fouled out down the stretch.

Morgan Lindenfelser had 10 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and four blocks for RCC.

“Morgan played real well for us and Rebekah had a nice second half,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “We got a lot of transition buckets.”
