Blooming Prairie boys top JWP

BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team cruised to a 70-46 win over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton in BP Tuesday.

JWP (8-12 overall, 4-8 Gopher) had a six-point lead early but the Awesome Blossoms used a 20-5 run to take control.

John Rumpza had 22 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks for BP (13-8 overall, 8-3 Gopher) and Michael Thomas had 19 points and 12 rebounds.

“Thomas and Rumpza both had nice games again,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “The key to our success the past few games has been getting production from others.”
