February filled with events to keep you busy

Published 5:46pm Saturday, February 2, 2013

February is full of fun and activities.

Starting Monday we are hosting more wind chime classes. Come to this fun class and learn how to make your own wind chime or stained glass sun catcher. Come back Wednesday to finish up your project.

If this week doesn’t work for you we have another class Monday and Wednesday next week on Feb. 11 and 13. All are welcome.

Facebook can be thought of as your home on the Internet. It’s a place people can go to leave you a message, browse through your photo collections, or even chat with you while you are online. It can be a great way to keep in contact with friends and family, and even find long lost friends that you haven’t spoken to in years.

Now that you know what all you can do with Facebook, the trick is to not become overwhelmed by trying to do everything at once. At 6 p.m. on Monday is the first of two Facebook classes this month.

Many seniors are finding that Facebook is what their kids and grandchildren are doing. In order to keep up with them they want to learn what it is all about. Kendra will be teaching a limited class size what is Facebook, how to create your own account and answer any questions about your existing account. This will be a very fun class and if you would like to attend give us a call. Her next class will be at 6 p.m. on Feb. 11 at 6 p.m.

You are never too old to learn, and card making classes, or any class for that matter, can improve your skills tenfold. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to make your own stylish handmade greeting cards, card making lessons can give you the confidence you need to begin.

Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. is the first of two classes we will be doing this month. The second is Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. The cost is $4 and that includes the lesson and your personalized card you designed to take home with you just in time for Valentine’s day. To sign up for this class or any of these fun classes stop by the front desk or call 433-2370 ext 0. See you there.
