A set of Austin parents reported Monday their 30-year-old, live-in son stole several high-dollar items from them.

Police saw the suspect walking away from the home and arrested him at about 1 p.m. The man reportedly stole his parents’ 42-inch television, several electric guitars, several .22-caliber rifles and checks.

Before police arrested the man, they also saw the man put something in his mouth. Officers later found a pill bottle with a green, leafy substance, needles, cutting tools, a marijuana pipe and trace amounts of methamphetamine, according to the police report.
