Paul James Kaasa, 77, died Jan. 10, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Paul James Kaasa was born June 12, 1935, in Albert Lea, Minn., to Alerd C and Lillian J (Neste) Kaasa. He spent many years working with his dad as a painter and later did painting on his own. Paul enjoyed riding his bike, walking and reading. He loved to socialize.

Survivors include his sisters Jeanne (Jim) Rushton of Austin, Minn., and Patricia (Danny) Tuttle of Twin Lakes, Minn.; brother-in-law Lowell Kleven of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David and Robert Kaasa, sisters Marilyn Schultz and Lilly Ann Kleven.

Memorial services for Paul will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be held at Lakewood Cemetery.
