ALBERT LEA — Austin sophomore Alex Hansen poured in a career-high 18 points as the Packers beat Albert Lea (7-11 overall, 4-11 Big Nine) 65-55 in a girls basketball game on the road Thursday.

Austin (8-10 overall, 5-10 Big Nine) led by as many as 15 in the second half as it held AL guard Brynn Woodside to seven points.

“She’s one of the best point guards in the Big Nine and we did a good job on her,” Austin assistant coach Jeff Hovland said.

Steph Justice added 14 points for the Packers.
