The Austin girls hockey team dominated from start to finish as they beat Faribault (5-19 overall, 2-16 Big Nine) 8-0 in Riverside Arena Tuesday.

Kennedy Thompson had three goals and an assist for the Packers (7-17 overall, 6-10 Big Nine) and Carley Grunewald added three goals and two assists.

Austin's Kennedy Thompson is tripped coming off the faceoff against Faribault's Taylor Salmonsen during the first period Tuesday night at Riverside Arena.

“The girls skated hard and we still have a winning record in January,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said. “Hopefully we’ll keep the intensity up.”
