Nettie Nei, 86, of Austin, Minn., died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at her home.

Nettie Mae Moffit was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Chanarambie Township, Murray County, Minn., to Robert and Lena (Buchan) Moffit. On June 26, 1949, Nettie was united in marriage to Clayton Nei in Austin. She worked at Hormel Foods in Austin after her marriage, at the Arthur Hotel in Rochester, and later at Burr Oak as a housekeeper. She will be remembered for her love of flowers, gardening and music, and for her clown collection.

Survivors include her children Karen Nei, Nancy Nei, George Nei and Charles Nei, all of Austin; granddaughter Sondra (Jeff Mason) Nei of Faribault, Minn.; great-grandchildren Tyler, Riley and Kyle Mason; brother David (Gail) Moffit of Austin; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Lena Moffit; her husband Clayton Nei; twin sons Larry and Gary, daughter Baby Girl Nei.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Rev. Dr. Stephen DeFor officiating. Visitation will take place one hour before the service. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
