SPRING GROVE — The Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team missed out on a chance to make a move for an SEC title when it lost 71-60 to Spring Grove (11-6 overall, 10-0 SEC) on the road Friday.

The Athletics (12-2 overall, 7-2 SEC), who have now lost both of their matchups with the Lions, held an eight point lead early on until they were hit with foul trouble.

“We were in foul trouble and we were trying to play catch-up,” LP assistant coach Justin Morris said. “We just couldn’t get stops when we needed them.”

Courtney Walter and Brooke Walter each scored 13 for LP.
