HAYFIELD — Hayfield senior Brady Kramer scored his 1,000th career point as the Vikings held off Stewartville (2-6 overall, 0-3 HVL Gold) in a 51-50 win in Hayfield Tuesday.
The Tigers hit a three to tie the game up at 50-50 with one minute left, but Hayfield’s Cole Kruger drew a foul with one second lift and he hit the second of two free throws to win the game.
Hayfield had led 48-40 late in the game.
“We let them back in it with some bad turnovers,” Hayfield head coach Chris Pack said. “There’s gonna be games like that and it’s better to win them than lose them.”
Kruger scored 22 points to lead the Vikings (10-2 overall, 3-0 HVL Gold) and Kramer scored 12 points.
