Born in Grundy Center, Iowa, to Fred and Tena Stahl, Helen was one of seven brothers and one sister.

Known for her compassion and love of family, Helen moved from Iowa and spent the majority of her life in Oregon. She was married to Ted, a World War II veteran, in 193, and together they shared a life with four children: Karen, Janice, Sandra and Gary. She always had cookies ready for her adored nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Always creative, she was a self-taught organist, a wonderful homemaker and could fix anything that needed her care. She also loved travel and has begun her final journey. She will be greatly missed.
