FMCS: Cut back energy usage until 8

Published 1:52pm Tuesday, January 22, 2013

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services and Heartland Power Cooperative ask their members to “Wait ‘til Eight” before using any unnecessary electric power Tuesday evening.

Tuesday is a peak alert day due to high demands for electricity caused by cold temperatures. Customers are asked to avoid the use of appliances and any unnecessary electric usage until 8 p.m. Waiting until eight will help keep electricity costs low.
