FMCS asks members to cut down on power usage until 8Published 2:23pm Thursday, January 31, 2013
Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services and Heartland Power Cooperative have asked their members to “Wait ‘til Eight” Thursday before using any unnecessary electric power.
Today is a peak alert day due to high demands for electricity caused by cold temperatures. FMCS requests users avoid the use of appliances and any unnecessary electric usage until 8 p.m. this evening. Waiting until eight will help keep electricity costs low for members of Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services and Heartland Power Cooperative.
